Definition of Thick-walled LSAW Steel Pipe

Thick-walled LSAW steel pipe is outer diameter to wall thickness ratio is less than 20. They are used as petroleum geological drilling pipes, petrochemical cracking pipes, boiler pipes, bearing pipes, and high-precision structural pipes for automobiles, tractors, and aviation etc.

The biggest difference between thick-walled LSAW steel pipe and thin-walled LSAW steel pipe is the thickness of the steel pipe wall. Generally, thin-walled LSAW steel pipes is wall thickness/pipe diameter <0.02. Thick-walled LSAW steel pipe is wall thickness/pipe diameter >0.02.

Thin-walled steel pipes are used for pipelines. Thick-walled LSAW steel pipes are mostly used in blanks for hollow parts, pressure-bearing and important pipelines.
