Galvanizing Method of Seamless Steel Pipe

There are two types of galvanizing for seamless steel pipes: hot-dip galvanizing and electro-galvanizing. Hot-dip galvanizing has wet method, dry method, lead-zinc method, redox method, etc. The difference between them is that what is used to activate the surface of the pipe body to improve the quality of galvanizing after the steel pipe is acid dipped and cleaned. The dry method and redox method are mainly used in the production.

The surface of the zinc layer of electro-galvanizing is very smooth and dense, with uniform structure which make steel pipe has good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. Electro galvanizing is complex on technically, it is used for single-sided coating, double-sided coating with different thicknesses on the inner and outer surfaces, and galvanizing of thin-walled pipes.
